Arts of the Pamlico's Weekly Update March 7, 2017 | Eastern North Carolina Now

Welcome pots o' gold and lots of luck!

March has roared in and we aren't quite sure if it is still winter or spring weather wise. One thing is for sure, things are definitively heating up at AOP with lots of great programming. Psylo Joe and Gang of Thieves proved to be an outstanding concert enjoyed by everyone at the show. Sunday we also offered our first opera, Carmen, much to the delight of some of our patrons. Two vastly different musical offerings, yet enjoyed immensely by their attendees. The support patrons, like yourself, provide AOP allows us to continue offering diversified programming. We see on a weekly basis new faces falling in love with the Turnage Theatre as they come in for their first of what will be many visits to our events. Thank you for your continued support.

WRAL is telling his story in "6,149 Days," a powerful 90-minute documentary. $5 tickets at the door.

Join us at AOP, March 12th at 3 pm, for The Woodsman Broadway play. The Woodsman is a 2012 American stage play, written by James Ortiz with music by Edward W. Hardy and lyrics by Jen Loring. It focuses on the story of the Tin Woodman character from L. Frank Baum's series of books set in the fictional Land of Oz, notably Baum's 1918 book The Tin Woodman of Oz.
