Little Art Canvas Pick Up going on now!


    Come pick up your canvases now (up to 5) for our annual Little Art Exhibit. They will need to be returned to the Turnage May 2nd and 3rd to be hung in the Lane Gallery until the closing reception on May 18th. Funds raised from the the Little Art Exhibit will support supplies for kids Summer art camps and collaborative children's projects. Let your creativity flow!!


Democracy For Sale


    Documentary iinvestigating how North Carolina has become a bellwether for how the money of a few has come to dominate our democracy. No charge for admission, concessions available. Shown 03/31/17 at 7 pm

Jesus Christ Superstar


    Andrew Lloyd Webber and Time Rice's classic returns to its roots and is presented as it was originally, an arena show. The cast includes some familiar faces along with a soundtrack near to many of our hearts. Come sing along to one of the favored rock musicals still touring currently. Concessions will be for sale before the event. AOP is offering this screening at no cost, but there is a suggested fee of $5 to ensure that continued professional programming such as this production and others can continue to be offered. Enjoy the show!

Improv Workshop begins 04/01


    Join this series of Saturday 2-hour workshops designed to help you learn the art of saying "Yes and...," the Rules for Improv (yes there are rules for making thing up!), Building a Scene (telling a story), pantomime, acting and reacting, trusting your instincts and your scene partner, learning short form improvisational games, make some friends and have a lot fun! Come learn and hang out with William White and Anthony Holsten with I.C. Improv, and learn the art of making things up! $10 a class; series is 8 classes (attendance at all classes recommended, no class Easter or Memorial Day weekends) from 1:30 - 3:30 PM at the Historic Turnage Theatre. Classes lead up to graduation on June 4 at 2:30 PM.
