    Mr. Irving Bonner Litchfield, Sr., age 92, a resident of 400 Riverside Road, Washington, died Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington.

    Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Oakdale Cemetery, conducted by Derik Davis.

    Mr. Litchfield was born in Aurora on July 15, 1924. He was the son of the late William Anderson Thompson Litchfield and Garnet Bonner Litchfield. Mr. Litchfield was a millwright and worked side by side with his brother, Thomp, at Moss Planing Mill. He was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church. In his spare time, Mr. Litchfield was an avid boater and fisherman.

    Mr. Litchfield was married to the former Mary Herrington, who preceded him in death.

    Mr. Litchfield is survived by two sons, Irving B. Litchfield, Jr. and his wife, Pat of Washington and their daughter, Maria Litchfield; John Litchfield and his wife Carol of Ft. Myers, FL and their son, John Litchfield and his wife Jennifer and daughter, Kimberly Ann Seeley and her husband, Kevin.

    In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Litchfield was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Thomp and Willard Litchfield.
