    Mr. Ronald Wayne Martin, age 82, a resident of Belhaven, died Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice in Greenville.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Paul Funeral Home in Belhaven.

    Mr. Martin was born in Beaufort County on January 20, 1935. He was the son of the late Hosea Wilkinson Martin and Lyda G. Cutler Martin. Mr. Martin was the retired manager of the Beaufort County Landfill. He loved his horses, his carriages and his work as a farrier. In his spare time, Mr. Martin loved working in his yard especially mowing grass.

    On December 22, 1992, he married the former Linda Dillon, who survives.

    Surviving with his wife are three sisters-in-law, Sandra Myers and her husband, Ellis, Teresa Manning and her husband, Maurice all of Pantego; Carol Sawyer and her husband, Gene of Bath; brother in law, Steve Dillon of Belhaven and lots of nieces and nephews.

    In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin was preceded in death by a brother, Louis W. Martin and sister, Frances D. Miller.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Service League Inpatient Hospice, 920 Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C. 27834.
