    Mr. Tony Mayhew Jackson, age 58, a resident of 970 Elliott Road, Bath, NC died Wednesday August 16, 2017 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital of Washington.

    A graveside funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday August 18, 2017 at Oakdale Cemetery officiated by David Linton and John Cooper. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. Jackson's mother, Beulah Bowden, located at 1010 Elliott Road, Bath.

    Mr. Jackson was born in Beaufort County on January 5, 1959 son of the late Mayhew Jackson and Beulah Mae Waters Jackson Bowden who survives. He was a 1977 graduate of Washington High School and currently worked as a Quality Assurance Associate at Food Lion of Belhaven.

    Surviving along with his mother: Beulah Jackson Bowden of Bath is a daughter: Sarah J. Tyson and her husband Jason of Chocowinity; a sister: Kristi J. Hamilton of Bath and her fiancée Mark Young; four step-brothers: Scott Bowden and his wife Carol of Chocowinity, Chris Bowden and his wife Shelia of Washington, Steve Bowden and his wife Carol of Washington and Mike Bowden of Washington; a grandson: Conner Tyson of Chocowinity; a niece: Alana Everett and her husband Travis of Grimesland and a nephew: Thomas Hamilton of Wendell and his girlfriend Stacy Cheetham.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions be made to the Tony Jackson Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1465, Washington, NC 27889.
