Mrs. Ruth Buck Paschal | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Ruth Buck Paschal, age 93, formerly of Washington, died peacefully Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, in Winston-Salem with her daughter by her side.

    A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Washington, conducted by Rev. Greg Barmer. Private committal services will be held at Oakdale Cemetery.

    Mrs. Paschal was born in Pitt County on Aug. 25, 1918. She was the daughter of the late Heber Vanderbilt Buck and Janice Harper Buck. Mrs. Paschal was a homemaker. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church for many years.

    Mrs. Paschal was married to William L. Dudley, who preceded her in death. Later, she married Herbert Paschal, who preceded her in death.

    Mrs. Paschal is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Eva Ann King and Kelly King of Winston-Salem; granddaughter, Mary Ann King of Charlotte; grandson, Ken King of Charlotte; one niece and two nephews.

    In addition to her parents and her husbands, Mrs. Paschal was preceded in death by one son, William Dudley, and six siblings.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 113 N. Harvey St., Washington, NC 27889.
