Company will invest $612,000 in Fayetteville project

    RALEIGH: Advanced Computer Learning Company, LLC (ACLC), a leader in training development and delivery, educational software programs, and technology systems integration, has selected its Fayetteville headquarters for an expansion that will bring 75 jobs and $612,810 in investment to the area, Governor Roy Cooper announced today.

    "Preparing people for the jobs of the future requires innovative solutions and smart use of technology," Governor Cooper said. "ACLC is committed to this work, and we welcome their expansion with 75 new, quality jobs here in North Carolina."

    ACLC delivers comprehensive training solutions and services based on proven training and educational expertise. ACLC creates customized online and mobile learning programs, foreign language support services, IT programming, staffing and training, and management and operations support. ACLC clients include U.S. Army Special Operations Command and the U.S. Army Forces Command.

    "ACLC chose to expand in Fayetteville because of the nearby military bases and because the community has supported their growth thus far," Secretary Anthony M. Copeland said. "These new jobs will be welcome in Fayetteville."

    The ACLC expansion in Fayetteville will include upgrading and expanding current corporate and supporting offices to accommodate additional employees and infrastructure. ACLC will add state-of-the-art production and virtual reality studios, a recording studio sound room, and enhanced broadband infrastructure to support custom computer programming training and education support services. ACLC will also upgrade facilities to improve competitiveness for military contracts.

    The North Carolina Department of Commerce and the Economic Development Partnership of N.C. (EDPNC) were instrumental in supporting the company's investment decision.

    ACLC will add a variety of jobs with this expansion, with an average salary of $58,400 once all positions are filled. The average annual wage in Cumberland County is $32,377.

    A performance-based grant of $150,000 from the One North Carolina Fund will help facilitate ACLC's expansion. The One NC Fund provides financial assistance to local governments to help attract economic investment and to create jobs. Companies receive no money upfront and must meet job creation and capital investment targets to qualify for payment. All One NC grants require a matching grant from local governments and any award is contingent upon that condition being met.

    "ACLC will bring 75 new, quality jobs to their headquarters expansion here in Fayetteville," said N.C. Senator Wesley Meredith. "Fayetteville, Cumberland County and the surrounding area will benefit from this expansion, and we look forward to continuing to work with ACLC."

    In addition to North Carolina Commerce and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, other key partners in the project include the North Carolina General Assembly, the North Carolina Community College System, Cumberland County, the City of Fayetteville and Fayetteville Cumberland County Economic Development Corporation.
