    Mr. Jessie Leon Davidson, age 83, a resident of 605 E. 5th Street, Washington, passed away Tuesday February 6, 2018 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

    Memorial services will be 3:00 pm Saturday February 10, 2018 at 15th Street Church of God and will be conducted by Pastor Randy Wallace.

    Mr. Davidson was born October 22, 1934 in Beaufort County to the late Thomas Walter Davidson and Ethel Sullivan Davidson. On July 3, 1960 he married Frances Elizabeth Jefferson who survives. He was a 1953 graduate of Bath High School, was employed with the Washington City Schools, Paul Funeral Home and retired from Generator & Starter. He was also a former Washington volunteer fireman, a Mason and was a member of the 15th Street Church of God. Leon had a great love for helping and working with others in the community.

    Survivors include his wife Frances E. Davidson of the home, two daughters, Elizabeth Marie Paramore and husband Jasper of Chocowinity, Loretta Barton and husband Mike of Washington, three grandchildren, Petty Officer First Class Jonathan Conner and wife Liz, Katie Pate and husband Justin, Patrick Conner and wife Stephanie, three great grandchildren, Wesley Conner, Harli Conner, Skyler Pate, one brother, Thomas "Duck" Davidson of Washington, two half brothers, Richard Harris of Kinston and Henry Harris and wife Gail of Newport News, VA. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mazel Bowen and two brothers, Alvin Davidson and Buddy Davidson.

    The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.

    In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College Avenue, Oxford, NC 27565.
