    Robert Graham Davidson, 90, a resident of Washington, NC, died suddenly February 26, 2018.

    Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Alice Harrison and Graham Noble Davidson. Robert attended Mt. Hermon School, graduating in 1945, and served in the US Army with the 82nd Field Artillery Battalion in Kumaguya, Japan, in 1946-47.

    On November 4, 1950, he married Priscilla Chamberlin, who predeceased him only eleven months ago. He became president of Noble Manufacturing, a firearm company established by his father, which was later acquired by Smith & Wesson, where he then led the long gun division. In the mid-1970s he changed careers to the marine industry, and established Midway Marina in Haddam, Connecticut, with his wife and two sons. Upon retiring in 1989, he and Priscilla moved to Washington, where he became a member of First Presbyterian Church and an active community volunteer, especially with Habitat for Humanity.

    He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Davidson and husband, Peter Eisenman of New York, NY; sons, Scott Davidson and significant other Barbara Marciniak and Elliott Davidson and wife Vera all of Haddam, CT; granddaughter, Sally Davidson of New York, NY; grandsons, Kyle Powers of Jersey City, NJ, Noble Davidson of Fairhope, AL, Sam Eisenman of Denver, CO, Eric Davidson and Nick Davidson both of Haddam, CT.

    A celebration of life will be 4-6:00 pm, Friday, March 2, 2018, at Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Brown Library or Habitat for Humanity.
