    Mrs. Clara Ann Nobles Woolard, age 70, a resident of 2023 Harvey Road, Washington, NC passed from this world and into the next at 7:02 pm on Saturday March 3, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center of Greenville.

    A memorial service will be held 11:00am Saturday, March 10th at Woodard's Pond Church of Christ officiated by Eddie Gurganus. The family will receive friends in the church reception hall following the service.

    Mrs. Woolard was born in Beaufort County on May 20, 1947, daughter of the late Herbert Joshua Nobles and the late Betty Pearl Carrow Nobles. She was a 1965 graduate of Washington High School. On February 12, 1972 she married William Earl Woolard. Mrs. Clara was a member of Woodard's Pond Church of Christ. She played the piano beautifully at church and nursing home worship services. Clara spent time as a Sunday school teacher and youth VBS song leader. She was a homemaker and farmed side by side with her husband for forty-six years. Her life has been blessed as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and she could light up any room with her smile and laughter.

    Surviving along with her husband William of the home are two daughters: Toni Woolard Taylor and her husband Todd, and Teia Woolard Ipock and her husband Daniel; three grandchildren: William Trent Ipock, Maygen Tucker Ipock and Westin Wyatt Taylor all of Washington; a brother Josh Nobles of Bayboro; and Mrs. Woolard was predeceased by a brother: Pee Wee Nobles.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorials to be made to Woodard's Pond Church of Christ, 9004 US Hwy. 264 East, Washington, NC 27889.
