    Mrs. Joan Patricia Smith Leggett, age 75, a resident of 6689 Clarks Neck Road, Washington, died Tuesday evening, March 20, 2018, at her home.

    The family will receive friends 6:00-7:30 PM on Friday March 23, 2018 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. No services will be held at this time.

    Mrs. Leggett was born in Augusta, GA on February 25, 1943, daughter of the late Ozzie David Smith and Lillie Mae Bracher Smith. On January 8, 1960, she married Richard Thaddous Leggett, who survives. Mrs. Leggett worked as a bookkeeper/office manager for Greene Oil Company and Leggett's Cash & Carry. She loved to go out on their boat and work around her house.

    In addition to her husband, Thad, of the home, she is survived by her son: Greg Leggett and wife Valinda of Washington; her three grandchildren; and her brothers: James Smith of Augusta, GA and Charles Smith of North Augusta, SC. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Pete Smith and John Smith.
