    Mrs. Josephine "Mama" W. Woolard, age 88, a resident of Pinetown, NC died Friday May 18, 2018 surrounded by her family.

    A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday May 22, 2018 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington and will be officiated by William Ray Askew.

    Mrs. Woolard was born in Beaufort County on November 3, 1929 to the late Gracie Curl Woolard and Bessie Mae White Woolard. On October 28, 1948 she married L. Garfield Woolard. She loved farming and flowers but most of all her family. Mrs. Woolard was a caring and loving mother and grandmother. She was also a hard-working woman and ran Pam's Diner for over 21 years.

    Survivors include her husband of 70 years L. Garfield Woolard of the home, two daughters, Vicki Woolard (Doug) of Pinetown, Phyllis Hewitt (Ruffin) of Belhaven, four grandchildren, Billy Ray (Jennie), Jeremy (Nohemi), Missy (Joe), Samantha, eight great grandchildren, a sister Gracie Johnson of VA, and a special caring family friend, Ronnie Lawrence, and several nieces and nephews.

    She is preceded in death by her daughter Judy Alligood,
