NC House Representative Bill Cook, whose 6th district seat was redrawn dramatically, has now indeed filed to seek the NC Senate, District 1 seat. At about 10:10 am, February 15, 2012, NC Rep. Bill Cook bounded into the lobby of the Beaufort County Board of Elections, like a big stuffed teddy bear in full motion, greeting each of his nearly 20 well wishers, and summarily filed to become elected the first Republican NC Senator to represent this part of North Carolina in modern times.

Currently, the NC Senate, District 1 seat is occupied by NC Senator Stan White, Democrat from Dare County, who was appointed by the Democrat leadership after NC Senator Marc Basnight, also a Democrat from Dare County, resigned his seat. In 2010, the Democrat majority, within the NC Senate of the North Carolina General Assembly, was swept from power by the Conservative surge within the electorate in that general election, which, in turn, powered the transition from a Democrat to a Republican majority. Senator Marc Basnight, who had remained a stake holder in that chamber's leadership for decades, thought it better to return to his home county of Dare, to become a private citizen, rather than suffer the humiliation of sitting in the minority of that body politic.

Today, NC Rep. Bill Cook took the first step to pull this part of the state one nudge further from the Liberal policies that has shaped the purpose and policy, long embraced, by Liberal / Moderate people and politicians of Northeastern North Carolina.

In the first 15 months of the North Carolina Representative's service, Bill Cook has proven that he understands the core principals of Conservative politics and has therefore, voted accordingly in North Carolina's General Assembly. Today, when speaking to the loyal crowd in his presence, Representative Cook emotionally drew the audience's collective consciousness as to how a Liberal government, run-a-muck, will produce bureaucrats that tend have a more fascist approach in dealing with situations under their purview.

The embarrassing issue at hand was a Hoke County School Administrator's improper, and heavy handed, administration of the dietary regimen of a individual child's "bag lunch." The abject stupidity of this overbearing bureaucrat made national news, and therefore, the Conservative Representative from Beaufort County easily drew a firm contrast between his freedom loving ambitions for his constituents and the current mentality, such as this Hoke County School Bureaucrat's core philosophy, which stipulates that North Carolina citizens surrender their basic freedom's to the will and whim of an overbearing government and it's dictatorial employees.

Today, as Representative Cook takes his first, firm step to do his part to correct this North Carolina government, and its associative bureaucracies, embarrassingly run-a-muck, he simply stated:

"This is why I run for this elected office. This brand of socialist activity must end in North Carolina's bureaucracy."

At present, Representative Bill Cook will face a primary contest against Democrat-turned-Republican / Realtor Jerry Evans of Washington, NC.
