Leadrew Swindell, age 84, of Bayboro, NC went to his heavenly home on Tuesday July 10, 2018.
His graveside service at Barnett Cemetery in Hobucken, will be held Friday, July 13, 10 a.m., with the Rev. Steven Keesecker officiating.
Captain Leadrew was a well-known commercial fisherman for most of his life and was highly respected up and down the eastern seaboard for his expert skills in the design and "know how" of boat building (i.e., The Miss Wachovia). He was always happiest when doing the Lord's work and took every opportunity to share his personal story of God's love and salvation.
He is survived by his wife, Eva; two sons, Keith and Bobby; two daughters, Anita and Delores; two sisters, Sheen and Abby; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Friends and family are welcome to stop by the home of Carol Pegram Thursday evening from 5-8 or after the service at the home of Anita Mayo.
