    Barbara Carole Francis O'Neal, age 81, a former resident of Bath, NC, died Sunday July 29, 2018 at River Trace Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Washington.

    A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday July 31, 2018 in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

    Mrs. O'Neal was born in Beaufort County on May 20, 1937 to the late William J. Francis and Ethel Witherington Francis. She was a member of Bath Christian Church. On June 17, 1956, she married Robert Union O'Neal who preceded her in death on July 9, 1999. Mrs. O'Neal loved to play bingo and earned the nickname "Bingo Queen"

    Survivors include her three children, Lisa O. Yates and fiancé JB Bullock, Robert U. O'Neal, III and wife Wanda, Barbara O. Kenyon and husband Robert, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, two sisters, Emily Santowasso, Leigh Barbour, a son-in-law, Marshall A. Myers, and a sister-in-law, Sue Francis.

    She is preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle O' Myers and a brother, William "Billy" Francis.

    The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979.
