    Mrs. Georgia Mae Lancaster Hardy, age 87, a resident of 8325 Hwy. 306 South, Aurora, died Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Grantsboro Nursing & Rehabilitation.

    Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, August 12, 2018 at White Hill Free Will Baptist Church and will be conducted by Rev. Wesley Taylor. Burial will follow in Cuthrell Cemetery at White Hill. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm prior to the service at the church.

    Mrs. Hardy was born February 19, 1931 in Onslow County to the late Alpha and Nancy Lupton Lancaster. On December 22, 1951 she married William Riley Hardy, Jr. who preceded her in death on March 19, 1992. She was a homemaker and member of White Hill Free Will Baptist Church.

    Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Hardy Baber and husband Neil of Crimora, Virginia; two sons, William "Billy" Hardy and wife Kathy of Aurora, Jimmy Hardy and wife Belinda of Washington; two brothers, Ted Lancaster of Georgia, Alvis Lancaster of Durham; two sisters, Myra Dudley of Winterville, Marie Thomas of New Bern; a special sister in law, Henrietta Lancaster; five grandchildren, David Hardy and wife Cortney, Jeremy Wallace, Meghan Hardy, Kristen Hardison and husband Zach, Laura Baber and four great grandchildren, Kara Hardy, Abby Hardy, Riley Wallace and Wyatt Wallace.
