    Mr. Jim Forest Cox, age 73, of Washington, passed away Wednesday August 29, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center.

    Graveside services will be 11:00 am Saturday September 1, 2018 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens.

    The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the graveside service.

    Mr. Cox was born June 13, 1945 in Beaufort County to the late Henry Foncie Cox and Iantha Andrews. He attended Washington High School and retired as Vice President and General Manager of Tidewater Equipment Company Inc. Mr. Cox served in the United States Coast Guard.

    Survivors include a daughter, Dini Cox Taylor and Robert Starling of Greenville, sons, Shawn Cox and wife Tracy of Ayden, Jarod Steele Cox and wife Amy Padget of Westville, Florida, brother, Holman Cox his wife and special sister in law, Linda of Washington, sister, Shirley Mayo Wiggs of Washington, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

    The family would like to thank the staff of Universal Healthcare of Greenville for their kindness and support.
