    Mr. Lee "Mark" Chandler, Sr., age 51, a resident of Washington, NC died Wednesday December 19, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center of Greenville.

    A graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 22, 2018 at Oakdale Cemetery of Washington officiated by Rev. Jim Bussell.

    The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday December 21, 2018 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of his mother, Debra Perry, located at 2884 Harvey Road, Washington.

    Mark was born in Beaufort County on June 6, 1967 son of the late Charlie Lee Chandler and Debra Paige Lee Perry who survives. He was a 1985 graduate of Bath High School and continued his education at East Carolina University. He managed a theater in Portland, OR and more recently was a sales associate at Wal-Mart of Greenville. He loved literature and reading books and poems. He also was an author of several poems.

    Surviving along with his mother of Washington is a son: Lee Mark Chandler, Jr. of Washington; a sister: Anita Woolard and her husband Toby of Washington; a grandson: Braydon "Jackie" Chandler; his maternal grandmother: Betty C. Lee of Washington; a nephew: Coby Woolard and numerous cherished aunts and uncles. Mark was predeceased along with his father by his stepfather: Eddie Perry.
