    Ms. Mary Elizabeth Noe, age 77, a resident of Washington, NC died Saturday February 2, 2019 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington.

    A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday February 6, 2019 at First United Methodist Church of Washington officiated by Rev. Ken Hall.

    The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

    Ms. Noe was born in Carteret County on May 8, 1941 daughter of the late Blythe Hilton Noe, Sr. and the late Florence Elizabeth Smith Noe. She was a 1959 graduate of Washington High School and Louisburg College where she received a business certificate in 1961. Ms. Noe held several jobs, but she was most proud of being a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the N.C. National Guard. She was considerate of others often putting them before herself. As a member of First United Methodist Church of Washington she was a member of Circle of Faith and loved to volunteer to help. She was a member of Carrollton Book Club, her Saturday night supper club and the weekly mahjong club where she was very competitive. N.C. State has lost a loyal fan!

    Surviving along with her cat: Sparkie includes a niece: Diane Noe Chandler (Mike) and their daughter Ellis of Fort Mill, SC; a nephew Blythe Hilton Noe III (Cheryl Lee) and their daughters Leanne and Beth of Washington; a niece Stefanie Glenn (Timothy) and their daughters Noella and Leilani of Palm Harbor, FL and a sister-in-law: Gail Noe of Washington.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to First United Methodist Church, Circle of Faith, 304 West 2nd Street Washington, NC 27889.
