Three National Acts, One ARRGH-SOME Festival


    GREENVILLE, N.C.     PirateFest returns for its 13th year this spring with three national headliners and two days of piractical tomfoolery. The festival will take place on April 12th and 13th at Uptown Greenville's riverfront park, the Town Common.

    Friday, April 12th:

    Country music star Jimmie Allen floods the stage with his undeniable talent and personality. Allen's debut single "Best Shot" is a certified hit, claiming the No. 1 spot on Country radio marking the first time a black artist has launched a career with their debut single as a No. 1 hit. His small-town charm has landed him on stages alongside Kane Brown and Scotty McCreery. Allen's music features a cutting-edge mix of country, rock, R&B, and pop drawing upon the influences of his family and small-town upbringing.

    Saturday, April 13th:

    Join us for a 90's throwback concert featuring Tone Loc and Biz Markie.

    The legendary Biz Markie brings more than 30 years of solid hip-hop brilliance and notoriety. His music stardom began in 1985 as he beatboxed his way into the hearts of hip-hop lovers while delivering humorous, witty rhymes that made him loveable and admired by music fans from all over. Known for his hit "Just A Friend," Biz is the definition of hip-hop longevity and has managed to remain one of the most notable artists and DJs in the industry.

    Tone-Loc soared from obscurity into pop stardom in 1989 when his raspy voice and unmistakable delivery made the song "Wild Thing" a massive hit. The song was co-written by Marvin Young, better known as Young MC, as was the second single smash, "Funky Cold Medina." The album Loc-ed After Dark became the second rap release ever to top the pop charts. Tone-Loc is a staple on the I love the 90s Tour highlighting the trend-setting decade with some of the most iconic figures in rap, hip hop, and R&B.
