Mrs. Christine Deans Moore | Eastern North Carolina Now

Mrs. Christine Deans Moore of 4574 U.S. Highway 17 North, Washington, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at her home.

    A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church. Burial will follow in the Joyner family cemetery.

    Christine was born July 5, 1957, to William and Doris Warren Deans. She attended and graduated from Washington High School in 1975. She was also employed at Hamilton Beach Company, Washington, for over 20 years. She was currently employed at Eastern Elementary School system for 11 years as a school nutritionist. She was a member of Cherry Run A.M.E. Zion Church.

    Christine was married to William Moore who survives.

    She is survived by two daughters, Marquita Deans of Raleigh and Sharita Deans of Greenville; a stepdaughter, LaTonya Gorham; a stepson, Shawn Bryant of Washington; one sister, Dorothy Williams of Washington, and two brothers, William Warren and Ray Warren, both of Washington.

    Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. today at Leon Randolph Funeral Home, 208 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Washington.
