    Charlotte, NC - After serving in leadership of two of North Carolina's largest counties, Sarah Reidy-Jones has announced that she will seek support of delegates in bid for Vice Chair of the North Carolina Republican Party at its annual convention in Concord on June 8, 2019.

    Serving as the Vice Chairman of the Mecklenburg County Republican Party since March of 2017, Sarah Reidy-Jones also served two years as the Vice Chairman of the Guilford County Republican Party. As an emerging leader in the nonprofit sector, she specializes in marketing and communications and brings 21 years of conservative grassroots activism to the Republican Party.

    "After contemplative thought, I am announcing that I will seek the support of Republican delegates in my bid for Vice Chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party. Our state party is at a crossroads and it is important to have steady, consistent, yet fresh leadership at the helm," said Reidy-Jones. "The NCGOP needs a leader in place that has relevancy, a track record of successful communication skills and the vision necessary for long term success in not only our urban centers, but across the entire state. From a branding standpoint, we need an infusion of energetic, experienced leadership that can openly advocate our conservative values in an ever-changing state with incredible population growth. We need someone that can identify with and attract younger voters to the Republican Party. Sarah Reidy-Jones
    A lifelong Republican, Sarah Reidy-Jones brings over two decades of institutional knowledge within the Republican Party.

    She was elected Vice Chair of the Mecklenburg County Republican Party in March of 2017 and previously served as Vice Chair of the Guilford County Republican Party. As a member of the College Republicans, her chapter was named national club of the year. Within the Young Republican National Federation she is a past state YR chair, past chair of two local Young Republican club chapters and former Communications Chair and Campaign Chair of the National Federation, where she oversaw deployments of hundreds of volunteers into 5 swing states in 2008. She previously served as the national Youth Outreach Chair and on the Program Committee for the National Federation of Republican Women. Sarah currently serves as the Communications Chair of the North Carolina Federation of Republican Women and serves as the Fundraising Chair for the Mecklenburg Evening Republican Women. She is a member of the Mecklenburg County Young Republicans, Charlotte Mecklenburg Republican Women and an associate member of the North Mecklenburg Republican Women.

    Sarah serves on the 9th and 12th Congressional district executive committee as well as is serving on her fifth year on the North Carolina Republican Party's Executive Committee. She has been an alternate delegate to the Republican National Convention and a delegate to the national conventions of the College Republicans, Young Republicans and National Federation of Republican Women, where she served as a keynote speaker in 2017. She was especially proud to bring the largest delegation of under-40 delegates from any state as a YR chair to the 2008 RNC in Minneapolis and to grow the organization's membership by 400% in her first year as chair. She has been awarded the William O. Cowger Award for outstanding services during campaigns and is a past state Young Republicans Woman of the Year. She has been active in her local Republican parties in four states since she was 17 years old.

    Her public service includes the White House's Office of Presidential Correspondence, as a scheduler to a governor and at city hall. She previously consulted on local, statewide and federal races, specializing in media and crisis communications and has experience as a national spokesperson. She was the National Director of Scheduling for a 2012 presidential primary campaign and served as a campaign manager for a gubernatorial race.

    She is the honorary national president of Children of the American Revolution, where she saw the organization's first net gain in membership in 7 years as its membership chair and then quadrupled that net gain and doubled its fundraising the next year as its national president. She served as her college's student body president at age 19, where she gained experience lobbying for higher education and vocational training funding. She is a 4th generation Daughter of the American Revolution and is a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants.

    Sarah currently oversees marketing efforts for two national financial literacy nonprofits. She holds a degree in Political Science from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Sarah resides on Mountain Island Lake with her husband, Chris, a golf coach at Belmont Abbey College.
