CMS Students Work with MythBusters | Eastern North Carolina Now

Press Release:

On Thursday March 15th Melanie Taylor’s and Kellyn Wright’s fifth grade homerooms participated in MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition. Through this live webcast students were able to see how their favorite Myth Busting scientists integrated math and science into their television show. In preparation for the webcast each student submitted questions that they had for the MythBusters. During the webcast the hosts of the show Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage answered many questions that the students had. This was a unique opportunity for the students because they were able to share the same experience with students all over the country. As part of the webcast the classes could see how many people or classrooms were watching along with them. At one point during the webcast there were more than 4000 people watching.
