    Mr. Herbert Lee Leggett Jr., age 49, a resident of 1435 Bennett Road, Williamston, passed away Thursday October 31, 2019 at his home.

    Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Sunday November 3, 2019 at Jamesville First Baptist Church and will be conducted by Pastor Adron Modlin. The family will receive friends at the home.

    Mr. Leggett was born in Martin County on January 28, 1970 to the late Herbert Lee Leggett Sr. and Vivian Reason Leggett who survives. He was a 1988 graduate of Jamesville High School and then was employed as a building contractor for Gurganus Builders until an accident in 2005 that left him disabled. Mr. Leggett was a member of Jamesville First Baptist Church.

    Survivors include two sons, Hunter Leggett of the home, Holden Leggett of Washington, his mother and step father, Vivian Leggett and George Stocks of Jamesville, two sisters, Debbie Peel and husband Shelton of Williamston, Rita Martin and husband Ricky of Jamesville, one niece, Brandy Wynn and husband Chan of Jamesville and two nephews, Jamie Martin and wife Leigh of Williamston and Jason Peel and wife Sara of Williamston.

    In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Jamesville Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 17, Jamesville, NC 27846.
