    Rev. Bobby Eugene Woolard Sr., age 71, a resident of Bethel, passed away Monday March 23, 2020 at Vidant Medical Center.

    Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Thursday March 26, 2020 and will be conducted by Pastor Donnie Hines.

    The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

    Rev. Woolard was born in Beaufort County to the late Benjamin Franklin Woolard Sr. and Edna Mae Congleton Woolard. He attended Washington High School and graduated from Pine Knot Job Corp. in Kentucky. On November 3, 1967 he married Sharon Kay Worley who survives. He was employed with Flanders Filters and Sawyer Auto Parts. Rev. Woolard preached at many congregations having served most of his years with the Bethel Church of God.

    Survivors include his wife of the home Sharon K. Woolard, his daughter, Melissa "Missy" Woolard Fleming of Macclesfield, his son, Bobby Eugene Woolard Jr. and wife Jeanie of Plymouth, brothers, Benjamin F. Woolard and wife Mary of Washington, Nathan Thomas Woolard of Greenville, six grandchildren, Justin, Elizabeth, Randy, Cody, Sierra, Angelina, and four great grandchildren, Shane, Cloe, Justin Jr. and Julie. He was preceded in death by three brothers, William Marshall Woolard, James Earl Woolard and Guy Lester Woolard.
