Severe Weather Possible this Easter Afternoon and Evening | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Good Afternoon Everyone,

    Our office is currently monitoring the potential for severe weather this evening through Monday morning. The Storm Prediction Center is considering most of Beaufort County to be at an "Enhanced" risk for severe weather as a front approaches our area tomorrow. It is uncommon to see areas classified at this category so far in advance. Please refer to the attachment and email below from the National Weather Service (NWS) for additional information. They have scheduled their next update for 6am tomorrow. We will continue to share forecast information as it develops.

    A strong cold front will impact the area Sunday night through Monday. The Storm Prediction Center has increased the risk for severe weather to enhanced for much of eastern North Carolina, which is rare this far in advance. Please see the attached briefing for more details.

North Carolina's Rate Bureau has requested for 2024 an annual increase of 42.2%, whereby North Carolina's Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey has exhibited a great willingness to take a firm stand against such an exorbitant increase.
I reckon one could always argue that ignorance rests in the eyes of the beholder, but, I'm not taking that bet ... not in these Orwellian times, when so few of our fellow travelers know so little of what is real, and far too much of what otherwise might be terminally fake.
