    Mrs. Grace Farber Lombardi, age 87, died March 31, 2020 at her home.

    A graveside service will be held at a later date.

    Grace was born and raised in Altoona, PA. She graduated from Altoona High School in 1950 and worked with Southern Bell and AT&T, in PA, FL and NC for 38 years. After retiring from AT&T, she moved to Washington with her daughter, son in law and three grandchildren. Grace was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Washington. She loved her children, grandchildren, and attending her Sunday School class at FUMC. She enjoyed making banana bread and chicken potpie for her family and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and NAVY football! In the Fall, she spent most Saturdays watching NAVY football.

    Grace is survived by her daughter, Cyndi Bowen and husband Lee of Washington Park, her two sons, John Lombardi Jr. and his wife Juana of Mechanicsville, VA, George Lombardi and his wife Patricia of Front Royal, VA. and four grandsons, Christopher Bowen, Beau Bowen, Dylan Bowen and Eric Lombardi .

    She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lombardi as well as her brother Carl Farber and sisters Mrs. Betty Stauffer, Mrs. May Bush, Ms. Ethel Hamel, and Mrs. Beverley Shoemaker of Altoona, PA and sister Ms. Edna Barwis of Baltimore, MD.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Blind Center, P. O. Box 491, Washington, NC 27889.
