Mrs. Pat Martin Boyd | Eastern NC Now

   Mrs. Pat Martin Boyd, age 73, a resident of 1208 W. 5th St. Washington, died Sunday June 3, 2012 at Vidant Medical Center.

   Graveside services will be 11:00 am Wednesday June 6, 2012 at Belhaven Community Cemetery and will be conducted by Pastor Darren Walker. Jim Hardison, Elbert Hodges, Topper Boyd, Keith Boyd, Jerry Boyd and Eddie Congleton will serve as pallbearers.

    Mrs. Boyd was born in Beaufort County on August 18, 1938 to the late Edgar Thomas Martin and Mollie Rice Martin. On February 23, 1968 she married Dallas Ray Boyd, Sr. who survives. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Washington.

   Survivors include her husband, Dallas Ray Boyd, Sr. of the home, two sons, Dallas Ray “Bo” Boyd, Jr. and wife Angela of Washington, John Martin Boyd of Washington, one grand-daughter, Caroline Alexandra Boyd and one nephew, Dr. Ray Hodges of Moncks Corner, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Sidney Ann Gettel, Mary Etta Hodges and one niece, Janet Louise Gettel.

   The family will receive friends from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday June 5, 2012 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the Blind Center, P. O. Box 491, Washington, NC 27889.
