    Mr. Robert John King, age 80, a resident of Greenville, NC died Tuesday June 30, 2020 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

    Mr. King was born in Washington, DC on February 18, 1940 to the late Robert A. King and Elsie Pearson King. On October 2, 1964 he married Norma Ann Paramore. He was a Pipe Fitter and employed at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, DC. Mr. King enjoyed sky diving, woodworking, and was a big Survivor fan. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Dale City, VA and a member of the Catholic Faith. He was an avid traveler who loved to camp. He worked his way from sleeping in tents, to travel trailers, to motor homes. His most visited vacation spots were the Blue Ridge Mountains and Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge. He was also a strong Conservative who spent many hours watching Fox News.

    Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Norma Paramore King, four sons, Johnallen King of Greenville, Richard King of Capron, VA, Mark King and wife Tiffany of Greenville, Erik King and wife Shannan of Bridgeton, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two brothers, and one sister.

    He is preceded in death by two sisters, Elsie King and Patricia Finley.
