George Robert Parker

Mr. George Robert "Bob" Parker, age 82, a resident of High Point, died Saturday, July 4, 2020 at Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions, services will be held later.
Mr. Parker was born in Aberdeen, N.C. on June 9, 1938. He was the son of the late Jack Carraway Parker and Etheleen Lamm Parker. Mr. Parker served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for 43 years as a Flexographic printer. In his spare time, Mr. Parker enjoyed gardening, building bird houses and green houses.
Mr. Parker was married to the former Josephine Griffin, who survives.
Surviving with his wife are his daughter, Lisa Parker Sexton and husband, Robert Leon Sexton of Archdale; six sisters, Geraldine "Jerrie" Bolafka of Washington, Norma Parker Morgan of Ohio, Linda Parker Daughney of Newton, Mass., Sue Parker McPhee of Ohio, Shirley Parker Hawkes of Havelock, N.C., Debra "Debbie" Parker Morrisey of western Mass. and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Parker was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Parker and a sister, Betty Hagan.
