    Mrs. Rae Waters Rouse Biggs, age 88, a resident of Washington, died Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

    A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Oakdale Cemetery officiated by Dr. Greg Barmer. Wade Biggs, Gene Biggs, Mitch Biggs, Erick Tetterton, Tim Biggs and Patrick Tetterton will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

    Mrs. Biggs was born October 8, 1931, daughter of the late Arthur Waters and Elizabeth Latham Waters. She attended Pinetown and Bath schools. In 1993, she retired with 27 years at Hamilton Beach. On March 1, 1952, she married Albert D. Rouse who preceded her in death on January 5, 1999. She married Joe C. Biggs on June 2, 2001 and he preceded her in death on July 28, 2008. Mrs. Biggs was a member of the First Baptist Church in Washington, where she was a member of the WMU, the Unity Sunday School Class and the Young At Heart. While married to Joe Biggs and living in Creswell, they attended Mount Tabor Free Will Baptist Church.

    Mrs. Biggs is survived by her sons: Danny Rouse of Tallahassee, FL and David Bryant Rouse and wife, Bennette; three grandchildren: Allison Rouse of Tallahassee, FL and Caroline Rouse Gilliland and husband Andrew of Jacksonville, NC and Blake Rouse of Washington; and several nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by her sisters: Alma Biggs, Gladys Jones and Agnes Wallace.
