James L. "Jimmy" Johnson, Jr. | Eastern NC Now

   Mr. James Lacy “Jimmy” Johnson, Jr., age 75, a resident of 1218 Pamlico St., Washington, died Saturday June 23, 2012 at Clara Manor of Washington.

   Memorial services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church of Washington and will be conducted by Rev. Lee Kinney.

   Mr. Johnson was born in Beaufort County on September 16, 1936 to the late James Lacy Johnson, Sr. and Sara Long Johnson. He was a 1955 graduate of Washington High School, attended Presbyterian Jr. College in Maxton, NC and graduated from Atlantic Christian College in Wilson. He was owner and operator of Jimmy Johnson Lawn and Garden was a member, former deacon and former president of his Sunday school class of the First Presbyterian Church and was a former member of the Washington Jaycee’s.

   Survivors include his sister, Sally J. Wiley and husband Billy of Washington, one niece, Sara Gray Horne and husband Michael of Winston Salem, one nephew, Rusty Wiley of Ridgefield, Connecticut, two great nieces, Morgan and Maddie Wiley and one great nephew, Grayson Wiley. The family will receive friends at the home of Sally Wiley, 107 Landon Dr., Washington, NC 27889.
