    Mr. Hilton Ward "Bud" Mobley, age 84, a resident of Washington, NC died Tuesday September 22, 2020 at his home.

    A funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday September 26, 2020 at Washington Assembly of God in Washington officiated by Pastor Daniel Haskett and Rev. Ken White. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. (Names) will serve as pallbearers.

    Mr. Mobley was born in Martin County on January 25, 1936, son of the late Ofers Mobley and the late Bessie Alexander Mobley. He attended Beaufort County Schools. In July of 1974 he married Neva Pearl Eaton who preceded him in death on March 27, 2011. On May 3, 2014 he married the former Teresa Fuller Lewis who survives. He retired from Ready Mix/White's Concrete in Greenville in 2001. He was a member of Washington Assembly of God and enjoyed working and mowing grass. His love of keeping yards looking good was very important to Mr. Mobley and the day he died he had mowed his and a neighbor's yard.

    Surviving along with his wife Teresa of the home are his children: Alton Ward Mobley of Jacksonville, FL and Betty Carolyn Mobley of Grifton; stepchildren: Kay White (Larry) of Washington and Jason C. Lewis (Nicole) of Washington; brothers: Jimmy and Roger Mobley both of Williamston; sisters: Ruth Manning of Williamston and Genevie Branch of Greenville; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He is predeceased along with his parents and wife Neva Pearl by stepchildren: Terry Eaton, William Lawrence Lewis and Teresa Eaton Cobb and sisters: Frances Donato, Lib Manning, Bernice Evans and Melba Roebuck.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Washington Assembly of God, Children's Ministries, 2029 West 5th Street, Washington, NC 27889.

    The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the church and other times at the home.
