Recent School News from Chocowinity Primary School, Part III | Eastern North Carolina Now

   These latest announcements from the Chocowinity Primary School, via the Beaufort County School System, reminds us that schools are a focal point of activity.

CPS Marshalls


Chocowinity Primary School announces the list of third graders who will serve as graduation marshals during the Thursday, June 7 "Moving Up" ceremony. They include (front from left) Jordan Dixon, Lexi Buck, chief Grace Teague and Courtney Boyd; in the back row (from left) are Jasmine Davis, chief Sarah Petty, LaQuisha Woolard, Reagan Bunting and Jarrett Lohman. Not pictured is Nathan Cutler. The "Moving Up" ceremony will honor CPS's fourth grade graduates as they prepare to begin middle school in August.


Dunking Booth

Hermit Crab


Patrick Lovenberg, a fourth grader at Chocowinity Primary School, introduces his newest pet, a bright purple hermit crab he adopted while visiting the Outer Banks. Patrick shared the crab, which he named Shelly, with his classmates.


Pinwheel Garden


Prekindergarten students (from left) Maria Wainwright, Christopher Gattis, Kenneth Salas Hernandez, Jahmia Moore and Kimberly Perez-Lugo play in a pinwheel garden their classes created during the recent Week of the Young Child festivities. They attend Chocowinity Primary School.


Weatherman


Rob Teeter speaks with kindergarten students about tornadoes during a recent visit to Chocowinity Primary School, where his sister Jennifer Sneed teaches. Along with presenting the weather program for Sneed's students, Teeter also was a special guest in Monika Smith's fourth grade classroom, where he gave a science presentation on space. What's for Lunch?


Chocowinity Primary School Principal Alicia Vosburgh (right) and Assistant Principal Spencer Pake work the lunch line alongside cafeteria staff member Bonnie Leaver. Vosburgh and Pake donned aprons and hairnets to help out when several cafeteria workers were absent recently.


Kid Karaoke
