    Mrs. Annie Mae Davis White, age 85, a resident of Chocowinity, NC died Tuesday March 9, 2021 at her home.

    A private memorial service for family will be held later.

    Mrs. White was born in Beaufort County on May 18, 1935, daughter of the late Emmanuel Davis and the late Christabel Riddick Davis. She attended Beaufort County High School in Pantego. On March 23, 1974 she married Lee Arthur White who preceded her in death on May 5, 1990. Mrs. White lived most of her life in New York and California. She was an operating technician with IBM and upon her retirement she moved back to her native Beaufort County. She was a member of Temple of Jesus Christ in Washington as well as The Koinonia Christian Center in Greenville. Her greatest love following her Lord and Savior was her family. She loved to cook and play solitaire.

    Survivors include her children: Debra Jackson (Juan), Jeannette Gibbs, and Thurlis Gibbs all of Sacramento, CA, Stephen Gibs (Kim) of Manteca, CA, and Eric White (Fonda) of Winterville; brothers: Jason Davis of Brookland, NY, and John Walter Davis of Chesapeake, VA; sisters: Edna Davis of NJ, Mary Williams of Chocowinity, Darlene Ricks (James) of Virginia Beach, VA, Alice Foreman of Norfolk, VA, and Bertha Anthony (Collin) of Greenville and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Mrs. White was predeceased along with her parents and husband by two children: Johnny Davis and Darlene White; brothers: Woodrow, Levi and Jerry Davis, and sisters: Mary Elizabeth Canady and Ernestine Davis.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions be made to the charity of one's choice.
