Follow the Science: Prevention | Eastern North Carolina Now | Dr. Anthony Fauci said in a November 2020 interview that he takes 8,000-9,000 IU per day of vitamin D.

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
Dr. Anthony Fauci said in a November 2020 interview that he takes 8,000-9,000 IU per day of vitamin D. But he never encouraged the public to follow his example in his thousands of television visits, while demanding that the public wear one or two masks at all times. At the same time, the government was spending billions (perhaps trillions) of dollars investing in vaccines and stimulus money to salve the harm of lockdowns. In contrast, little was spend on finding treatments. In fact, many patients were told to go home and isolate, and then go to the hospital if they couldn't breathe. Is this the best the United States can do in the 21st century? This truly surpasses ridiculous.

Dr. Ryan Cole is CEO of Cole Diagnostics, an independent lab in Idaho. He was trained at the Mayo clinic and has worked in his field for 17 years. He recently presented his findings regarding the virus, treatment, and the vaccine before the Idaho State Assembly.

In his presentation, Dr. Cole stated a number of facts that should be obvious to anyone who passed Science 101. For example, wearing a mask outside is insanity. Viruses do NOT live outdoors; they live indoors where there is poor ventilation. Dr. Cole stressed that a virus follows a certain cycle and then eventually fade away; many states of the US are no longer in pandemic status. Viruses are fragile; UV light kills them, and the wind blows them away. Public health officials should be encouraging people to go outside, not huddling indoors in fear.

The average age of death in North American (from all causes) is 78.6. The average age of Covid death is 78.6.

According to Dr. Cole, the biggest lost public health message is the failure of officials to talk about Vitamin (pro-hormone) D. In fact, there is no such thing as flu and cold season; there is only low vitamin D season. Here are some important vitamin D facts:

  • Every cell in your body has a vitamin D receptor in the nucleus.
  • Approximately 2,000 genes in our body are controlled by vitamin D.
  • Vitamin D is the master key to our immune system.
  • If you have a mid level amount of vitamin D (50ng/ml), you cannot develop a “cytokine storm”. (A “cytokine storm” is that which kills in covid cases.)
  • 70% of the world is deficient in vitamin D. (That means 70% of the world is immune suppressed. 70-80% of all Americans are immune depressed.)
  • Approximately 80% of all nursing home patients are immune depressed.
  • Over 90% of ICU Covid patients are Vitamin D deficient and immune depressed.
  • Vitamin D is synthesized by UVB rays from the sun through our skin. (Sun screen blocks vitamin D synthesis.
  • Above or below the 35th parallel, a person cannot naturally make vitamin D for 4-5 months of fall and winter.
  • Obesity drastically decreases vitamin D levels, and over 60% of Americans are obese.
  • Vitamin D. decreases colon, breast, thyroid and other cancer rates, and well as depression and suicide rates.
  • A vitamin D supplement is critical for every world citizen in fall and winter (and indoor workers year round).
In the US most insurance companies do not cover the cost of the blood panel to check for levels of vitamin D. Scandinavian countries check vitamin D levels twice a year, and supplement 35 foods with vitamin D. Perhaps this might explain Sweden's outcome during the pandemic.

Dr. Cole said most Americans are also deficient in magnesium and zinc as well. Both can be helpful in boosting the immune system.

Public health officials have ignored this critical message, and it may have caused the deaths of thousands. Many physicians are unaware of the importance of vitamin D; after all, they spend days learning all about pharmaceuticals, and mere minutes on the value of vitamins. However, not all doctors are asleep at the wheel. My own doctor started me on Vitamin D several years ago, and he tests my levels annually. (I have been well throughout this pandemic.)

The most startling conclusion Dr. Cole emphasized is that normal vitamin D levels decrease covid symptoms and risk for hospitalizations by up to 90%. Even the World Health Organization (WHO) has quietly acknowledged this fact. Why isn't this information on mainstream media instead of the constant propaganda and fear mongering? Perhaps they could find a space somewhere between all the commercials for pharmaceuticals.

In the next article, we will learn what Dr. Cole and other doctors say about treatment, specifically Ivermectin.
