Notable Activity

    The General Assembly took a "summer break" and held no public business this week. NCACC expects business to return to normal next week as the House continues its budget deliberations.


State Updates


    The N.C. Department of Health and Human Services again urged vaccination against COVID-19 this week, citing a small increasing trend in the number of cases and the continued concern around the Delta variant.

    Fiscal Recovery Funds and American Rescue Plan Updates
    State and local stakeholders held American Rescue Plan Information Sessions for Local Governments this week to review information and answer questions about Coronavirus Fiscal Recovery Funds. News about At-Home COVID-19 Tests
At the Beaufort County Commissioners December 6 Beaufort County Commissioners' general meeting, Commissioner Rebholz appeared to lay the groundwork for the bipartisan voting block of Democratic Socialist and Nominal Republicans to initiate a spending spree for capital projects, including a new jail.
