    Mrs. Dinah Bowen Little Howard, age 63, a resident of 4130 Archbell Road Bath, NC died Friday July 16, 2021 at her home.

    A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

    Mrs. Howard was born in Beaufort County on February 25, 1958, daughter of the late Matthew Plum Hodges and Dorothy Geraldine Dixon Hodges who survives. Following her high school education, she continued her education and earned her master's degree in criminal justice. On April 15, 1982 she married Johnny Cornelius Howard, Sr. who preceded her in death on October 3, 2015. She was a cook and cashier with Pam's Diner in Washington and B.J.'s Convenient Store in Belhaven. Her hobbies were gardening, cooking, canning, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Howard was a member of Pinetown Missionary Baptist Church.

    Surviving along with her mother, Geraldine, of Washington are her children: Dinah Hassell of Washington, William Christopher "Chris" Howard of Washington, Johnny Cornelius "John Jr." (C. J. Keller) of Washington, and Jason Tyler Howard (Ashley Carawan) of Bath; nine grandchildren: Gabby Hassell, Jason Tomas Howard, Caleb Howard, Bella Hassell, Cayden Howard, Hannah De Hoog, Brinley Howard, Paisley Howard, Everley Howard, and Kinsley Russ; sisters: Gail Garris (Adrian) of Washington, and Diane Faust of Warsaw; brother: Mike Hodges (Teresa) of Washington; and Mrs. Howard's boyfriend: Joey Stotesbury of Pantego.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the charity of one's choice.
