GOP's Youngkin surges against McAuliffe
A new poll from the Trafalgar Group shows that the Virginia governor's race, which will be voted on this November, has GOP political newcomer Glenn Youngkin surging into a tie with Democrat former Governor Terry McAuliffe.. Youngkin is at 46% and McAuliffe at 46.3%. Youngkin has pledged to ban teaching of Critical Race Theory, cut taxes, and end mask mandates.

Virginia, like Kentucky, Louisiana, and New Jersey, conducts its state elections in odd numbered years, instead of the same time as federal elections.
