Tracy O'Carroll | Eastern NC Now

    Tracy Lynn O'Carroll was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world unexpectedly on August 24, 2021, at age 49.

    She was born to Lou Ellen Woolard Edwards on November 30, 1971. She is survived by her mother: Lou Ellen; sisters: Stacy Hudson and Melissa "Missy" Elks; brother: Larry Woolard; daughter: Heather Carawan and her husband Christopher; daughter: Catherine O'Carroll; grandsons: Oliver Gray Carawan, Hugh James Cherry III and granddaughters: Grace Elizabeth Cherry and Hasley James Cherry. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sarah Gray Edwards in 2011.

    Tracy was an advocate for safe driving and spoke to adults and children, promoting the message of "Arrive Alive, Don't Text and Drive". She was passionate and diligent in her efforts to save others from the dangers of texting and driving. Tracy was loved by many for her kind and friendly personality.

    The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by friends and family during this most difficult time.

    The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Joseph B. Paul Jr. Washington Funeral & Cremation: 4500 US-264 E, Washington, NC.
