    Judith Dae Raburn, 83, of Belhaven, died Sunday October 24, 2021.

    A Celebration of Judi's Life will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday October 29, 2021 at Paul Funeral Home, Belhaven, NC. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

    Ms. Raburn was born March 11, 1938 in Washington, NC, the daughter of the late Hubert L. and Margaret Ainsley Raburn. She grew up in the Ponzer community but left the area in the early 1960s. She spent many years in the Tampa Bay area and worked in the commercial mortgage banking industry with The Lomas & Nettleton Co., R. J. Twitty & Company, BancBoston Mortgage Corp., Legg Mason Real Estate Services and Northmarc Capital. She retired in 2003 and moved back permanently to the family property in Ponzer in 2015. She is survived by her husband: Doug of the home; son: Linwood Smith (Terri) of Elm City, NC; grandchildren: Garrett Smith and Mindy Smith of Elm City; a nephew: Hubert Raburn III (Ruth) of Gulfport, FL; and nieces Mary Ann Raburn Dietz (Joe), Old Town, FL, Ann Margaret Raburn Stinsman (Fran), Etna, ME & Lori Lynn Raburn Messina (Michael), Swedesboro, NJ. She leaves behind several cats that she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her parents and her only brother: H. L. Raburn, Jr. of Philadelphia.
