Mildred Elizabeth Landman Hollowell | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Mildred Elizabeth Landman Hollowell, age 90, a resident of West Main street, Belhaven passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Vidant Chowan Hospital in Edenton, N.C.

    Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Belhaven Community Cemetery in Belhaven conducted by Pastor Walter Taylor.

    Mrs. Hollowell was born in Heathsville, VA on May 30, 1931. She was the daughter of the late George H. Landman and Katherine Wilmore Landman. Mrs. Hollowell was a retired bookkeeper. She was a member of the Smithland Baptist Church in Heathsville, VA. In her spare time, Mrs. Hollowell loved to read, mow grass, and listen to gospel music.

    On November 19, 1955, she married Clarence W. Hollowell, who preceded her in death, November 16, 1979.

    Mrs. Hollowell is survived by her children, Calvin W. Hollowell (Elizabeth) of Warner Robbins, GA, Deborah I. Smith (Mike) of Belhaven, Clarence W. Hollowell, Jr. (Mebane) of Jacksonville, FL, Kenneth Hollowell (Tessa) of Windsor, VA, Bryan Hollowell (Sherry) of Pinetown, Leslie Hollowell (Milissa) of Greenville; nine grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

    In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.

    In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to the Clarence and Mildred Hollowell Scholarship Fund, at Beaufort County Community College, 5337 US Highway 264 East, Washington, N.C. 27889.
