    Mrs. Elsie Lane Keech, age 90, a former resident of Free Union Church Road, Pinetown, died Thursday March 3, 2022, at River Trace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Washington.

    Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, March 7, 2022 from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, conducted by Pastor Gary Bateman. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.

    Mrs. Keech was born in Beaufort County on December 11, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Heber and Lidia Arlene Asby Keech. Mrs. Keech was a 1950 graduate of Bath High School. She was a Customer Service Rep for Tri-County Telephone for over 30 years. Mrs. Keech was a member of Free Union Free Will Baptist Church and Ladies Auxiliary. She was very active in her community and church as long as her health permitted.

    On January 20, 1956, she married Rudolph Jackson Keech, who preceded her in death, March 16, 2008.

    Mrs. Keech is survived by her son, Randy Keech of Bennettsville, S.C.; brother, Kenneth Marshall Keech, Sr. and wife, Sandra of Washington; and nieces and nephews who she considered her own children, Kenneth M. Keech, Jr. and wife, Pam of Greenville, James A. Keech of Washington; and Beth Ann House and husband, Lee of Washington.

    The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory.
