Mr. Bob Underwood Rose, Sr., age 74, a resident of Moncks Corner, SC and a former resident of the Wenona Community of Pantego died Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Trident Medical Center of Charleston, SC.

   Mr. Bob Underwood Rose, Sr., age 74, a resident of Moncks Corner, SC and a former resident of the Wenona Community of Pantego died Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Trident Medical Center of Charleston, SC.

   A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Wenona Church of Christ officiated by Scott Askew and Stanley Allen. Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery of Pantego. Bart Whitley, West Dale, Michael Dean Sadler, Luke Oliver, Robbie Harris and Matthew Bagley will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Bagley and Chris Lamb.

   Mr. Bob was born in Washington County on October 2, 1938, son of the late Ernest Talmage Rose and the late Marietta Hodges Rose. He was a 1958 graduate of Pantego High School. Mr. Bob married the former Hubarett Woodward on January 21, 1960, who preceded him in death on January 4, 2006. He later married the former Irene Virginia Britt Crolley on August 28, 2008, who survives. Mr. Bob was a farmer and a member of Wenona Church of Christ.

    Survivors include Mr. Bob’s wife Irene of Moncks Corner, SC; a son: Bob U. “Bobby” Rose, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC; two daughters: Deborah R. “Debbie” Bagley and her husband George of Pantego and Beth R. Sawyer and her husband William, Jr. of Belhaven; a sister-in-law: Dorothy Cooper Rose of Pantego; a stepson William Bart Whitley and his wife Tina of Moncks Corner, SC; a stepdaughter: Cynthia White and her husband Thomas of Belmont, NC; thirteen grandchildren: Brandy Baynor, Bob Rose III, Kendrick Rose, Candy Harris, Lindsey Sawyer Sadler and Kaitlyn Sawyer Dale, Matthew Bagley, Jessica Bagley, Brandy Matthews, Tommy White, Chelsea Johnson, Brooke White and Will Whitley, and eleven great-grandchildren: Bailey Williams, Jonah Lamb, Barrett Harris, Grady Sadler, Damien Rose, Kaitlyn Rose, Sophie Bagley, Riley Whitley, Adelle Matthews, Gabriel Johnson and Micah Johnson. Mr. Bob was predeceased by two brothers: Marvin Royal Rose and Floyd J. Rose and a sister-in-law: Nora C. Rose.

   The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. Bob’s daughter Debbie Bagley (formerly his home) located at 6929 Hwy. 99 S. Pantego, NC.    Flowers are welcome and appreciated and the family kindly asks for any memorial contributions to be made to American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
