WATCH: Young Disneyland ‘Cast Member’ Tells Crowd Protesting At Disney HQ: ‘It Is Okay To Stand Up For Righteousness … You’re Not Alone’ | Eastern North Carolina Now

    On Wednesday night, at a protest in front of Disney headquarters in Burbank, California, a young woman who described herself as a Disneyland cast member denounced the company for pushing gender ideology on children. (Disclosure: The Daily Wire has announced plans for kids entertainment content.)

    The young woman stated to the crowd, "I'm a cast member here, for Disneyland actually. I've been with them for quite a long time and it has gotten very political and it's gotten very hard to be who you are. It's gotten very hard to be someone who has conservative values."

    Referring to the right to have opinions other than the woke agenda, she added, "Someone who believes in the right to choose, someone who believes that it's okay to stand up for righteousness. It is okay to stand up for righteousness. ... Any Disney cast members that are afraid to be bold, that are afraid to be courageous, stand up. It's okay. You're not alone."

    The crowd at the protest, which was organized by a group called Hold the Line, chanted "Boycott Disney!"

    Some protester spoke to local news outlet Fox 11. Marcos Zeladaa Rodas told the outlet, "But to teach them at such a young age and to have a task force focusing on teaching these things to kids - I think it's just morally wrong as a Christian and just what I believe in my personal beliefs."

    A woman who drove all the way from Orange County added, "Right now it's a time to boycott and then it's a time to stand up. ... Our job is to be parents and then our job is to make sure they're watching appropriate things."

    Shaun Frederickson summed up: "It's this idea that children are moldable. And what are we doing? Disney's taking a stance to say, "We know children are moldable, and we're going to do what we can to mold then in the image that we desire." Asked what he would say to people claiming Disney is not making parents put their programming on for kids, Frederickson fired back, "What is the largest media corporation in the United States? Are people forced to use Google? Are people forced to use Apple? Are people forced to fly in airplanes? No. These are just the most convenient, powerful corporations ..."

   

    Prior to the protest, Hold The Line founder Sean Feucht had told Fox News, "Disney has entertained our kids for decades. We've loved it... but they crossed a line in the sand when they began to enable those who want to fight to sexualize our kids."

    On March 28, in response to the passage of Florida's Parental Rights in Education law, Disney attacked the state, issuing a statement that said:

    Florida's HB 1557, also known as the 'Don't Say Gay' bill, should never have passed and should never have been signed into law. Our goal as a company is for this law to be repealed by the legislature or struck down in the courts, and we remain committed to supporting the national and state organizations working to achieve that. We are dedicated to standing up for the rights and safety of LGBTQ+ members of the Disney family, as well as the LGBTQ+ community in Florida and across the country.

    Disney Corporate President Karey Burke has stated, "We have many, many, many LGBTQIA characters in our stories and yet we don't have enough leads, a narrative in which gay characters just - just get to be characters and not have to be about gay stories."
