JLF/CJ Staff Providing Election Day Coverage, Commentary | Eastern North Carolina Now

    RALEIGH The John Locke Foundation's statewide Locker Room blog is the place to be for election night coverage of North Carolina contests and national results. JLF policy experts and Carolina Journal reporters and editors will post election updates and commentary throughout the night.

    Check Locker Room beginning at 6 p.m. for the Election Night Open Thread, and visit often for the latest information.

    JLF and CJ staff also will be seen and heard on a variety of other broadcast, online, and social media outlets:

    JLF President John Hood will be busy as always, appearing on Time Warner Cable's News14 Carolina throughout the evening, and blogging periodically for Tar Heel State residents at NC Spin and offering his perspective for a national audience at National Review's The Corner.

    CJ Associate Editor Barry Smith (@Barry_Smith) will provide analysis and commentary of state and local races on the statewide UNC-TV network beginning at 8 p.m. Barry will join UNC-TV's Kelly McCullen and N.C. State political science professor Steve Greene. When the UNC-TV broadcasts switch to PBS' national election coverage, you can watch continuous coverage online at UNCTV.org/election.

    JLF Vice President for Outreach Becki Gray (@beckigray) will offer her insights throughout the evening on NewsRadio680 WPTF in Raleigh and the North Carolina News Network.

    JLF Director of Communications Mitch Kokai will appear on the Raleigh Public Record/WKNC election-night broadcast at approximately 8:10 p.m., and then will join the Locker Room bloggers.

    CJ Managing Editor Rick Henderson (@deregulator) recorded an interview with WKNC that should be broadcast during the evening.
