Ophelia Elizabeth Hoggard Campbell | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Ophelia Elizabeth Hoggard Campbell, age 89, resident of 120 Bath Circle, Washington, died Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington.

    Graveside services will be held 12:30 PM Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Oakdale Cemetery.

    The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, April 29, 2022, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.

    Mrs. Campbell was born in Bertie County on December 19, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Wayland Hoggard and Mildred Williford Hoggard. Mrs. Campbell was a homemaker. She was a member of the Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

    Mrs. Campbell was married to Wilbur Dean Campbell, who preceded her in death, November 29, 2021.

    Surviving her are son, Adam Eric Campbell of Washington, NC and his children, Eric and Megan Campbell of Richmond, VA, and daughter, Amy Elizabeth Parsons and husband, Thomas and their children, Cal, Samuel, and Abby Parsons of Hutchinson, MN; and sister, Evelyn Humerickhouse of Roxobel, NC.

    In addition to her parents, Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by a brother, Otis Hoggard and a sister, Rose Baisey.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, P.O. Box 38, Chocowinity, N.C. 27817.
