Carolyn Lee Jefferson Swanner | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Carolyn Lee Jefferson Swanner, age 78, a resident of Pinetown, NC died Monday April 25, 2022, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

    A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday May 14, 2022, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory officiated by Pastor Darren Walker.

    Mrs. Swanner was born in Beaufort County on September 14, 1943, daughter of the late William Millard Jefferson and the late Patsy Lee Ormond Jefferson. She attended Bath High School. On August 21, 1965, she married Linwood Nelson Swanner who preceded her in death on March 17, 2015. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Washington. Mrs. Swanner enjoyed working in her yard, especially with her beautiful flowers, and crossword puzzles. She loved all animals, but her greatest love was for her family, especially her grandchildren and a great grandchild.

    Mrs. Swanner is survived by her children: Jennette S. Cilluffo of Pinetown, and Larry W. Swanner (Christy) of Pinetown; grandchildren: David W. Swanner (Alyssa Woolard), Adriana Cilluffo, Joseph Cilluffo, Madison Marquez, Jordan Marquez, and Jayden Marquez; and a great grandson: Trenton Swanner. Mrs. Swanner was predeceased along with her parents by her sons: David N. Swanner; and Anthony Marquez; a son-in-law: Tony Cilluffo; and two brothers: Earl Jefferson and Billy Jefferson.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to First Free Will Baptist Church, 901 North Bonner Street, Washington, NC 27889.
