Mary Lou Rowe Alligood | Eastern NC Now

    Mary Lou Rowe Alligood, age 78, a resident of Washington, died Thursday May 26, 2022 at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital.

    A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday May 29, 2022 at Alligood Family Cemetery, located at 436 Mill Hole Road, Washington and will be officiated by Tony Krantz. Chris Braddy, Galen Braddy, Stephen Braddy, Rodney Alligood, Stuart Alligood, and Randy Alligood will serve as pallbearers.

    Mrs. Alligood was born in Beaufort County on October 18, 1943 to the late Lloyd Vernon Rowe and Lena Cratch Rowe. On June 28, 1968 she married Glenn Lane Alligood. She was a postal mail carrier for twenty years with the US Postal Service. Mrs. Alligood enjoyed cooking, fishing, deer hunting, birds, animals, flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also a cancer survivor since 2009. Mrs. Alligood was a member of White Hill Free Will Baptist Church and attended Beaver Dam Church of Christ.

    Survivors include her husband Glenn Alligood of the home, three children, Glenn Lane Alligood, Jr and wife Lorie of Pinetown, Kimberly Dawn Alligood Tetterton and husband Erick of Pinetown, Steven David Alligood and wife Amy of Washington. Six grandchildren, Bethany Alligood, Natalie Alligood, Kaitlyn Cooper and husband Bryant, Madison Tetterton, Lauren Alligood, Logan Alligood, a sister, Betty Carolyn Naberhaus of Edward and multiple nieces and nephews.

    The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter Dawn Tetterton at 1957 Biggs Road, Pinetown NC.
