Ms. Jean Hill Smoke | Eastern NC Now

   Ms. Jean Hill Smoke, age 72, died Thursday, November 15, 2012 in Atlanta, Ga.

   A funeral service will be held 11:00a.m. Monday, November 19, 2012 at Trinity Episcopal Church of Chocowinity officiated by The Reverend J. M. Browne, III. Interment will follow in the Trinity Memorial Garden. A reception will follow the service in the Parish Hall.

   Ms. Smoke was born in Beaufort County on April 27, 1940 to the late Elbert W. Hill and Ruth Turnage Hill. Ms. Smoke was a retired nurse having worked many years at Tideland Mental Health Center. Ms. Smoke was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Chocowinity, NC.

   Ms. Smoke is survived by her children; Kimberly Friedman of Atlanta, Ga. And John Christopher Smoke of Jacksonville, Fla., grandchildren; Samantha Smoke, Rachel Smoke and Samuel Friedman, sisters; Nan Gildner of Pine Knoll Shores, NC, Vickie Conway of Wake Forest, NC and Ann Miller Hill of Washington, NC and a brother; Blaney Hill of Newport News, Va.

   In addition to her parents, Ms. Smoke is preceded in death by a son Clinton Hamilton Smoke.

   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Trinity Episcopal Church, 182 NC Hwy 33 West, Chocowinity, NC 27817.
